King Tide Today On Humboldt Bay
The highest tide of the year is happening today in about an hour. I’m headed down to take more photos on the water shortly. There also happens to be a very low tide in the evening as well, with the tide dropping 10ft in about 9 hours. Here’s a picture of yesterdays tide shift, along with a chart of what we’re looking at here shortly. A variety of low lying areas are expected to experience flooding today, and many of the buildings near 1st street in Old Town, Eureka will even have water underneath them. Wish I had time today to check out all the other King Tide flooding on the coast today, be sure to check out places like The North Coast Journal & Lost Coast Outpost for more photos tomorrow.
